BHBCF was founded by Keonnah Lee Baker, a homeschooling mother of two whose daughter has auditory processing disorder. The experience that first drew her into home education. After moving her family from Cincinnati, Ohio to South Florida and finding no in-person Black homeschool community in Broward County, she built one. What began as a Facebook group has grown into a community of 80+ families. By profession, Keonnah is a Florida licensed real estate broker who manages high-ticket transactions and gives a portion of  commission back to local heroes;  first responders, teachers, military, and community service workers  toward their closing costs. BHBCF is the natural next chapter of a lifetime practice of giving and leading.
